Выступая на митинге, действующий президент Турции  Реджеп Эрдоган поставил рядом с собой маленькую девочку, одетую в турецкую военную форму, говоря что даже она готова отдать жизнь за страну, готова  быть замученной и похороненной с турецким флагом в руках

После этого президент Турции сообщил, что только что подписал  приказ о мобилизации резервистов и попросил всех проверить свои мобилизационные предписания, заверив собравшихся что сам, в первых рядах пойдет в бой со своими людьми:

Днем ранее, выступая на другом митинге, Эрдоган в очередной раз сообщил, что Турция больше не будет придатком Соединенных Штатов и сама будет принимать военные решения и уже этим летом “всем будет жарко”.
