Dear colleagues!

The commission on a creative heritage of academician O. N. Trubachyov at history and philology Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Russian language V. V. Vinogradov of the Russian Academy of Sciences, INION of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Ukrainian language NANU, Institute of linguistics A. A. Potebn'a NANU, Kiev Slavistic university, Humanitarian institute E. R. Dashkova, Russian State Library and Theodosian Museum of Antiquities plan to organize in the second decade of September, 2012

The international conference of VII reading of memory of academician O. N. Trubachyov "Northern Pontic region: to sources of Slavic culture".

Within the framework of readings discussion on such problems is supposed:

Ancient Northern Pontic place-names and etymology of language relicts;

Etymology and a history of a word;

Slavic lexicon in historical illumination, reconstruction of common Slavic lexicon;

Regional linguistics;

Ethnic history, ethno-genetical processes in Northern Pontic region;

Archeology;

Epigraphic, numismatics, heraldry of Northern Pontic peoples;

The most Ancient Pontic state formations

Cultural continuity (mythology, folklore, applied arts) 

Northern Pontic region in works of Slavic literature and art

The contents of readings will be promulgated in the following way:

The program and theses of reports and statements (2 and 1 pages accordingly) - the publication on paper carriers;

The full texts of reports and statements (20 and 10 pages with necessary illustrations accordingly) - the electronic publication on a site http://trubachev.ru/

Acquaintance of participants with monuments of history and culture is planned: antique Theodosia, medieval Caffa, medieval Sougdaia-Soldaia-Sourozh, Armenian-Gregorian monastery Surb-Ghach, J. C. Ayvazovsky's picture gallery, museums of writer Alexander Green and of poet Maximilian Voloshin.

Terms of realization of conference will be specified in the following circular - roughly between 11 and 20 September, 2012.

Place of realization - Theodosian Museum of Antiquities.

Expenses of travel, accommodation and meals are from means of sending side or grants.

Publication fee (theses only - 25 UHR / 100 RUR/ 2.5 EU/ 3USD for a page)

Travel: Moscow - Theodosia (reserved seats - 2000 RUR/50 EU/ 67 USD, a compartment - 4000 RUR/100 EU/133 USD), Kiev - Theodosia (sleeper, reserved seats 80 UHR/8EU/10 USD, a compartment 150 UHR/15 EU/17 USD)

No visas are needed for citizens of European Union & Commonwealth of independent states

Residing: hotel Astoria on the Railway square near to a building of the Museum of Antiquities (from 120 UHR/500RUR/12EU/15USD up to 250 UHR/1000 RUR/25EU/30USD per day), apartments for rent (bed & breakfast; without the owner services etc.) in city centre and near to the embankment (price contractual).

For persons willing to pass a rate of medical and health improving procedures in time and after conference residing is possible at sanatorium "Voskhod = Sunrise". 

The application form for participation in the conference

The message on intention to take part in conferences, a theme of the report is necessary for sending till March, 20, theses of reports and statements - till April, 20, and full materials for the electronic publication till May, 20, 2012.

In the application it is necessary to specify:
