Из вечерних телевизионных новостей - вдоль сирийской границы ползет бронемашина с громкоговорителем, титры перевода с арабского: "Каждый, кто попытается прорваться сквозь ограждение, будет убит." Не стойстрелятьбудьский уакаф-уала-бетухек, а будет убит. На той стороне парень возмущается в микрофон сирийского телевиденья:

- Эти трусы стреляли по нам с расстояния в сто метров и не приближались!

Хороший день. С нашей стороны потерь нет. Сегодня был очень странный день. В кои веки командиры приказали положить всех храбрецов на подступах к государственной границе и обещали, что солдатам ничего за это не будет, и никого не посадят. Не совсем привычна такая душевная широта военного командования, но генералы мыслят с расчетом на стратегическую глубину и в ближайшие дни на попятую не пойдут.
