Encounters on the indestructible ruins ... 2
LAST USSR MINISTER OF DEFENSE
* * *
Once in the office of the chief of “Palei” I was introduced to Marshal Yazov (Emergency Committee), who also published here his memoirs about the August events of the 91st.
With an eye, to receive, in time, from Dimitri Timofeyevich his book as a gift, I presented him the Doors.
He thanked, read the epigraphs from the “Gospel” and ...
- Do you really believe in these fairy tales, a cultured woman? Here is my mother was illiterate, and all the icons were thrown into the well.
I have already caught my breath from such a statement.
But do not take the same gift back!
Talking silently about the Jesus prayer, she hastily said goodbye and ran away, having crossed three times in the corridor.
A couple of weeks later, the chief himself called me and said that the marshal had left a stunning comment about the Mystery at the publisher:
Yulia Lvovna Ivanova. Feedback from the Minister of Defense
Soviet Union D.T. Yazov on the novel “The Dark Doors”
Dear Julia Lvovna!
I was very pleased to read your science fiction novel “The Dark Doors”.
The novel attracted my attention with its application for a sensation, which makes the reader unconsciously comprehend - from the religious and spiritual positions - the role of Joseph Stalin in national and world history.
I do not believe in the church idealization of the Lord God, Jesus Christ and other apostles. I can not agree with many of the assertions or assumptions made in the novel.
However, it must be admitted that through the quotations of the “revelations” of the Theologians, you are very productive in using the statements of Stalin’s contemporaries: Molotov, Gromyko, Zhukov, Vasilevsky and other prominent figures. Which give him, Stalin, perhaps the most complete characterization. And not only him, but his entourage.
For example, DF Ustinov recalls Stalin:
- He had an analytical mind capable of crystallizing the most important, essential thing from a huge mass of data, information, facts.
Stalin formulated his thoughts and decisions clearly, clearly, concisely, with inexorable logic. I did not like unnecessary words and did not say them.
But did only one DF Ustinov speak so highly of Stalin?
In your novel can be traced reviews of many statesmen who worked closely and knew the Supreme Commander.
In addition to these persons, you successfully conduct the statements of Roosevelt, Churchill, De Gaul and other foreign authorities.
Anthony Eden - the British Foreign Minister in the second half of December 1941.
After meeting with Stalin, he said:
- Russians were twice in Berlin, will be the third time.
Stalin himself believed in victory and was able to instill this faith in the hearts of others.
You, dear Yulia Lvovna, let through your memory, thousands of books, statements, assumptions, and successfully argue all the episodes from the life of Stalin and other historical figures.
You do not go away from unpleasant topics and questions, such as repression, but explain them. At the same time, your position impresses me personally.
Take at least the example you cited with the People's Commissar of Munitions B. Vannikov:
“Three months after the attack of Hitler’s Germany on our country, I was given the instruction of JV Stalin to write to me alone in writing to state my thoughts on measures to develop weapons production in the context of the outbreak of hostilities.
Vannikov was released.
Stalin told him: “The scoundrels have slandered you.”
You managed to show most of these scoundrels of that time and modern, “crushed for three” great power, collected by selfless labor and the blood of many generations.
To the place the wisdom brought by you: "He who shoots his past from a pistol, he shoots his future from a cannon."
You managed to debunk the myth that Stalin was confused at the beginning of the war - it was the bike of Khrushchev.
With examples from the arrival of Vodopyanova and others, you have shown the efficiency of the leader.
And through the image of Joseph you managed to pass along the path traversed by Stalin in constant struggle.
You vividly showed Khrushchev, especially in a conversation with Marshal Rokossovsky of the Soviet Union.
When he offered to write some nasty things about Stalin, he replied:
- Comrade Stalin is holy for me.
The next day, Konstantin Konstantinovich came to work. And Marshal Moskalenko is already sitting in his chair and shows him the decision about his release.
Khrushchev and in relation to Zhukov worked lawlessness, freeing him from the post of Minister of Defense.
You are very talented use of the statements of the great "witnesses" - Pushkin, Lermontov, Belinsky, Nekrasov, Herzen, Turgenev, defending the unity of the Slavs.
Stalin did it too. But not theoretically, but practically.
How much strength, energy, will, mind you used to create this encyclopedic book “The Dense Doors” is difficult to imagine.
I would like to believe that this great work of yours will pay off with sincere gratitude to the readers of our country and abroad!
Thank you, and accept my wishes: create for the good of the well. ”
Marshal of the Soviet Union D.T. Yazov (signature).
