Our people in the Arctic: 2-in-1
It isn’t a secret that since 2012, Russia has been restoring its military infrastructure actively in the Arctic. A huge job was made during that period. But the Russian Ministry of Defense has other ambitious plans for the future. This fact makes the NATO states be very nervous and their leaders always say about the Russian threat.
Statements about “the Russian Arctic threat” are very popular in the West, but they are just inventions of narrow-minded russophobes. If we analyze both the Strategy of development the Russian Arctic zone and ensuring of the national security and the Maritime Doctrine of the Russian Federation we’ll see these documents was created only for defensive actions.
I wonder if the good time when NATO begins to see Russia objectively will ever come or not?
Let’s imagine this wonderful moment! And then the Russophobes will be able to look at an amazing thing: the most part of the Russian military objects have a twofold purpose. It’s a pity there are a lot of the Western officials can’t realize the Russian army not only defenses our boundaries but it is ready to take part in search-and-rescue operations in the very harsh conditions at any time. It means the Russian army is ready to help any person in distress in the Arctic. Pay your attention: ANY PERSON. It is available thanks to the Nuuk Declaration which our country has signed in 2011. Russia always keeps its promises. It’s well known.
I wish some of the rest states would be responsible like Russia!
