In May Purchase had rowed to solo glory in the first stage in Bled, Slovenia, as Hunter's return was delayed by injury.

Gloucester's Beth Rodford will also be racing in Lucerne with Anna Watkins, Katherine Grainger and Annabel Vernon in the quadruple scull event.
