Bio and Description for Book 13 Poetry in English

BIO == (for Book Poetry) == “Gavrilin” was my pseudo name in literature, poetry, and philosophy, and it is my middle name.

My first poems I has had written very late – in 27 years of birth – in 1972-74.

I am Russian, citizen of United States where I had moved to in 1990. I was born in South Urals, city of Chelaybinsk, in 1945. I have two daughters and two grand-daughters. I was a sportsmen in school and college having more than ten of the 1st classifications included Master class levels in track and field, and in winter ski- mountain tourism.

I was graduated from Moscow Engineer Physical Institute in 1970: master degree in radiation physics and mathematics. I have passed two post-graduate studies in technical cybernetics and radiation ecology, and radiation ecology.

In my student years, I organized and participated in two big student political disturbances against power regime and national politics of the Communist party in the USSR. Theirs was put me in prison (1981-84) for political poems and manuscript named “Russia on Threshold of 3rd Millennium”.

In the USA in period of 1990-2005, I had working in small firms and colleges teaching students in computer programming, and sometimes wrote and publish poems in Russian and English. In period of 2007-2022, I have published my political articles and poems on Internet web sites in Ukraine and Russia as well as in the newspaper “New Meridian” (New York).

Scientific articles and reports I had published on the annual International conference in city of Togliatti in Russia.

Russian Union of Writers published 45 poems of mine inside the collection “Rus’ of Mine -2022”, and awarding me by social medal “Sergei Esenin”, who was a very famed poet in Russia.

DESCRIPTION of the Book “From Russia with Love and Poems ( POETRY)

”Here inside the book is around 80 poems created in Russian during my long life in Russia and United States.

A few poems was written in English. With two of them called “Over Again” and “Night Steppe Love” I participated in All American Poetry Contest in 1996, and was as finalist. My poems in the book may putting in 3 categories as follows:

1) Lyrics, Love and Romantics: -2) very large poems such as “the Tree of Veda” and “Going and Pass away”; -3) political and prison theme; -4) verses of three my friends (See Appendix 2 in the end of book).

Poems in categories (2) and (3) are very misunderstanding even for ordinal Russian-speaking people. Political words are still prohibited in Russia today even if theirs are put in history of 30-50 years ago – history of Communist Party and socialism.

The book starts with poem called “ August 1975 - Beloyarskyi Atomic Power Plant” which describe Love, Danger of Radiation, Ecology and Radioecology in the vicinity of that plant.

Third Word War – rockets and nuclear bombs – are described in poem “Svyatogor” (a Russian ancient God) and in final poem “In Presentiment of the Atomic War”.
