Над Аляской торжественно поднят флаг России

На Аляске торжественно поднят флаг России.

Самый большой по территории штат отмечает государственный праздник — годовщину окончательного перехода под юрисдикцию США.

Впервые за почти полтора столетия в торжествах принимает участие российская делегация. Среди основных мероприятий — фестиваль и телемост между жителями Ситки, Нью-Йорка, Москвы и Санкт-Петербурга, передает канал "Россия 24".

На нем обсудят открытие Российского колледжа искусств на Аляске и восстановление Дома губернатора Российской Америки, разрушенный пожаром еще в конце XIX века.

Перед этим зданием проходила церемония передачи Аляски 18 октября 1867 года.
